Mary Beth has been an Underwriter  since 1985 and supports the Oak Leaf Community Mortgage, Powered by North Shore Trust and Savings team. With nearly 40 years of experience, she has become a cornerstone of the organization, known for her expertise and unwavering commitment to helping families achieve their dreams of homeownership.

Her love for her career comes from the meaningful impact she has on people’s lives. “I love helping people get into homes,” she says. Mary Beth also appreciates the constant evolution of the mortgage industry. “There’s always something new to learn. This industry feels so unpredictable, and that keeps it exciting!”

Mary Beth’s professional certifications include FHA DE Underwriter and VA SAR, highlighting her deep knowledge of government-backed loans and her dedication to staying at the forefront of her field. Her expertise ensures that clients receive personalized solutions and reliable guidance throughout the mortgage process.

Though she was awarded a basketball scholarship in college, Mary Beth chose to enter the workforce straight out of high school and found her calling in the financial industry. Her unique path has shaped her perspective and fueled her commitment to excellence.

Outside of her professional accomplishments, Mary Beth has some interesting stories to share. She has broken her hands five times, including once while bowling and another time when she tripped over her bell bottoms in 6th grade—a lighthearted reminder of her resilience.

When she’s not working, Mary Beth cherishes time with her children and enjoys traveling. Her focus on family and exploration reflects her well-rounded approach to life, balancing a successful career with meaningful personal experiences.
